This spring, project architect Elizabeth Lagarde, AIA, NOMA played a pivotal role in planning Project Pipeline, a 3-day summer camp focused on architecture, planning, and design hosted by NOMA. More than 45 middle school students attended the June camp and were introduced to architecture, planning and design. They created a commercial zone project, now on display at OMSI until July 6! Last week, associate Danae Sakuma and associate principal Diana Moosman, AIA led a visioning workshop to inform the design of Barbie’s Village, a culturally specific Native transitional housing community. Barbie’s Village will offer stable housing for women and children, early childhood services, medical and dental care access, and other services. Danae and Diana were joined by Hennebery Eddy colleagues Eduardo, Allison, and Lizzie, who volunteered at the workshop, and Elizabeth, who helped facilitate using the “Dream, Play, Build” community engagement framework. #CommunityDevelopment #HousingSolutions #NativeCommunity #TransitionalHousing #DesignThinking #CommunityEngagement #WomenEmpowerment #VolunteerWork #DreamPlayBuild #TeamWork #BarbiesVillage

Architecture | Bozeman Community Food Co-op | Hennebery Eddy Architects Bozeman Community Food Co-op by Hennebery Eddy Architects is a commercial project that serves as a contrasting expansion to the original Co-op structure with a change in form and material that showcases the iconic form of the original Co-op. Materially, the addition recalls the massing patterns consistent with a traditional western downtown, while composed of decidedly modern materials. Originally constructed in the late 19th century, University and Villard Halls are the oldest buildings at the University of Oregon and together are designated a National Historic Landmark. The Heritage project intends to add 50 to 100 years of service life to each building - preserving exterior details, adding new wall systems, salvaging wood, and modernizing interior systems.
Hennebery Eddy Architects, Inc. is honored to be a partner with the University of Oregon to see the transformation and rehabilitation of these two legacy buildings on the Eugene campus. Go, Ducks! https://lnkd.in/gHQgAz5f
