Javier Quiroz Castro, a DACA recipient, a nurse, husband, and father who has been advocating to stay with his family. This week Javier introduced President Biden as he announced an executive order to protect the undocumented spouses of US citizens and Dreamers. Specifically, the parole-in-place policy will allow an estimated 500,000 undocumented spouses of American citizens, including many DACA recipients like Javier, to come forward and apply for the opportunity to adjust their status in the United States rather than leave the country and be separated from their families for years. These spouses of U.S. citizens have lived in the U.S. for 23 years on average, Javier has been here for 30 years. This is a historic milestone in improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of Dreamers and American families with undocumented members.

A NEW Coalition for the American Dream report details how ending #DACA would be extremely harmful for DACA recipients and their families. The U.S. economy would suffer and the long-term cost of ending the policy, in addition to past investments, could reach one trillion dollars. https://lnkd.in/g3xTMWJT

Thousands of New Yorkers remain languishing behind bars due to extremely long sentences. They deserve a second chance to do good in the community, and The Earned Time Act would give them that opportunity. Thank you Robin Reynolds Wilt for advocating for The Earned Time Act.
