A little earlier than expected but along with the cover reveal, I can let it slip that “No Water, No Life” is my contribution to the summer issue. I was in total shock to learn it became the cover story and I’m so grateful to Jaye G. for the opportunities she’s given me. I’ll likely remain in shock for the duration of 2024.

ACWORTH, GA (June 27, 2024) – With the launch of an esthetician program this fall at Chattahoochee Technical College, students will have the opportunity to pursue a rewarding career in the beauty industry. Estheticians are licensed skin care professionals who help people look and feel their best. They provide facial treatments to improve the health and appearance of the skin, along with services that include makeup techniques, hair removal, spa therapies and more. The college’s Mountain View Campus in Cobb County is undergoing an extensive renovation this summer to house this new program of study. Esthetician students at Chattahoochee Tech will be able to gain hands-on experience in an appealing real-world setting to ensure they are well-prepared for entering the workforce. Working to bring this program of study to life for the fall semester at Chattahoochee Tech is instructor Hope Skapinetz. “I envision a curriculum that balances theoretical knowledge with extensive real-world, hands-on practical experience,” said Skapinetz, “ensuring that graduates pass state boards and enter the workforce with the skills and confidence to thrive in this competitive field.” Continue reading at the link below: https://lnkd.in/enSZPWVr #pressrelease #chattahoocheetech #estheticianprogram #newprogramofstudy

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA (June 26, 2024) – Local seniors received free health services at the inaugural Wellness-On-Wheels Health Fair event hosted in partnership with Cherokee County Senior Services and CareSource. This event was held on June 25 at the Senior Center in Canton and drew a crowd of roughly 100 seniors. Offerings included non-urgent medical care, vision and behavioral health care at no cost. “We were recently contacted by CareSource asking us to partner in hosting a health fair event that would be funded through a grant,” said Cherokee Senior Services Director Tim Morris. “We jumped at this opportunity because it allowed us to provide health care to our homebound clients who are normally unable to conveniently access these services.” Continue reading at the link below: https://lnkd.in/e2PkN6C7 #pressrelease #seniorwellness #healthfair
