In celebration of Disability Pride Month, we recognize James Kang Manyual, a 29-year-old father of one who has volunteered to train 30 USAID Youth Empowerment Activity Youth Corps members in his community in Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal. Kang, who uses a wheelchair, is a member of the People with Disability Society (PWDS), a youth-led and youth-serving organization. He is one of the volunteer youth trainers helping thousands of young South Sudanese build foundational skills through the USAID Youth Empowerment Activity in South Sudan. From teaching students how to read and perform basic calculations to completing community service projects, the USAID Youth Empowerment Activity is equipping 25,000 young women and men with the necessary skills to participate actively in South Sudanese society. #DisabilityPrideMonth #DisabilityPride USAID
