There's been so much to celebrate in Downtown Denver so far this summer - and we're just getting started! Last week, we celebrated a historic moment with hundreds of our community members and project partners in the official opening of the first completed block of the new 16th Street. We also had a blast hosting our annual Bike to Work Day activation in Skyline Park that brought over 500 people who commuted downtown on two wheels (and were well-deserving of the 650 pancakes served!) Thank you to our Bike to Work Day Sponsors: Gates Corporation, Lyft, East West Partners, Hines and Colorado Barricade Co. We further celebrated the new block of 16th Street with our well-loved (and sold-out!) dining experience, CollaborEAT. Thank you to our CollaborEAT Sponsors for making this year’s event possible: PCL Construction, Molson Coors Beverage Company, BrightView Landscapes, TIAA, Martin/Martin, Inc, SideCar Public Relations, Bailey Program for Family Enterprise at DU and Stantec! Thank you to those who joined us in the fun last week and we hope you’re ready for what’s to come next!

Our Sustainability Initiatives Manager, Amanda Miller, had the opportunity to teach DOWNTOWN DENVER EXPEDITIONARY SCHOOL's first grade classes about fostering tree growth in an urban environment! The students learned about how much space trees need to grow in the city, and got an up close look at one of our Urban Forest Initiative projects, which is transforming downtown's public realm by providing large planting spaces for our trees. As a long time partner of DDES, we love these opportunities that help shape the future minds of our community, encourage learning about the inner workings of our city and how the Partnership helps keep it clean, safe and beautiful for everyone!
