🌎🌱 We were proud to join the Icelandic delegation at the Colorado-Iceland Energy Summit, along with the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade and other partners. Together, we explored opportunities for collaboration in #globalenergysecurity and #renewableenergy. #GlobalDenver
Last month, the Colorado-Iceland Clean Energy Summit brought together government leaders, businesses, and civil society groups from Iceland and Colorado to discuss opportunities to strengthen the cooperation between Colorado and Iceland in the fields of Geothermal Energy and Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS). Iceland has been a leader in harnessing renewable energy for more than a century, offering a model example of how to rapidly decarbonize the energy system while ensuring energy security. Advancing geothermal and carbon capture technology is a state priority and we thank Colorado Energy Office, Denver Economic Development & Opportunity (DEDO), Embassy of Iceland Washington D.C., Business Iceland, and Green by Iceland for making this collaborative event possible to discuss solutions to today’s global energy security and climate change challenges.

🌏 Last month, the American Institute in Taiwan, alongside Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, organized a Taiwanese delegation to the Metro Denver region focused on quantum and photonics. The delegation included representatives from the Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Taiwan–USA Industrial Cooperation and Promotion Office, the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)(工業技術研究院, 工研院)), the Taiwan Electric and Electronic Manufacturer’s Association (TEEMA), National Taiwan University, and various industry members. During their time in Colorado, the delegation visited National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Quantinuum, and Atom Computing, where they met with the Elevate Quantum Consortium. DEDO’s Director of Global Engagement, Stephanie Garnica, had the opportunity to present to the group, highlighting the strengths of Denver’s business ecosystem.
