We danced. We laughed. We helped Kingsford welcome Jason Kelce into retirement, having Kingsford-friendly, NFL retiree Vince Wilfork show him the passion and experience of charcoal grilling. #KingOfTheGrill #client Raise your hand if you’d want to grill with these two? 🙋♂️

Day four at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity felt a bit like...🫠🫠🫠. We’re exhausted! But it’s the kind of tired you get after a thrilling day at your favorite theme park. Picture this: standing in long lines under the blazing sun to attend fringe events along the Croisette, racking up those daily steps (and then some), and indulging in every glass of Rosé that crosses your path. Ever wondered where the phrase ‘Rosé All Day’ comes from? Now you know. Seriously, with the whirlwind of activities both at the #Palais and on the #Croisette, it’s easy to burn out if you don’t plan. Pro tip for next year: prioritize your must-attend sessions over the nice-to-have ones and leave some room for spontaneity and hanging out with all the amazing people you’ll meet. Take yesterday, for instance. We started off with our new besties from our sister agency, Jack Morton Worldwide, attending a panel where Bonnie Ott - Smith and The Female Quotient discussed the motherhood journey. They tackled the tough choices women face between career and family, the stigma around disclosing pregnancy at work, and how women can keep advancing in their careers at every stage of motherhood. Leaders also got some tips on supporting their colleagues through these transitions. Then we moseyed over to Interpublic Group (IPG)‘s Common Ground to check out Susan Howe, President of The Weber Shandwick Collective, talk with #GenZ influencers, creatives and Cannes Young Lions 🦁to get their POV on marketing, emerging creative trends and how we can propel the industry forward. After that, our group split up to catch different programs with the friends we made at the festival. And you already know that we’re bringing the 🔥🔥🔥 when it comes to awards! We snagged another Bronze Lion in Corporate Purpose & Social Responsibility for our work with FP7 McCann on Arla Selfless Shelves. That brings our total count to 9 Lions – 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 6 Bronze. At least we don’t have to worry about the overweight luggage fees – expense that, please! #CurrentAtCannes #CannesLions2024

Day three of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity started with a session at the Palais, where we learned how Guinness - one of the most iconic and creatively awarded advertisers ever – ushered in a new era of unprecedented growth by inverting the marketing model, reimagining its heritage brand by tapping into community and culture. Community continued to be the theme throughout the day as we strolled down the Croisette to catch a session at Paramount to see brands standing on business and investing in the creators’ economy to strengthen their long-term global impact. Some key takeaways from that panel are that impact, not virality, should be the goal to experience longevity in the business. Taking control of audience segmentation means knowing your audience and speaking directly to them. Diverse content creators need a seat at the table and feel empowered to speak up. And just because we’re in the south of France, we couldn’t let the day go by without stopping by a Kickback on the Croisette to celebrate #Juneteenth. This was more than just a celebration; it was a meaningful space for the Black community to come together in Cannes, honor their heritage, and celebrate on a global stage. We wrapped up the night with The Weber Shandwick Collective community, attending the awards ceremony at the Debussy Theater. We celebrated as Current Global clinched another Gold Lion for our impactful work with FCB Chicago and Digital Public Library of America on Banned Book Club! #CurrentAtCannes #CannesLions
