Great things happening at DSST Elevate MS!
Over the past 8 weeks I’ve had the opportunity to support DSST Public Schools, Elevate Northeast Middle School. Teacher internalization, exemplar creation, and driving cognitive lift during key moments of a lesson have been the headlights in driving student engament and academic outcomes. From 6th grade ELA to 8th grade Math, brains are “sweating!” Way to go, Bulldogs!
Hands up if you believe substitute teachers deserve and should be required to receive on- site and real- time coaching. After an energizing and values- aligned interview with Scoot Education, we are set in this mission. However, national studies represent an urengt need for this work. Cultivate Ed. provides daily, real time coaching and development for substitutes- many who are aspiring to join the next cohort of educators in our country. The reality is that substitutes receive baseline development and are placed into classrooms. This is a failing model. Every day counts for students in the United States- lets make 8:00am to 4:00pm transformational. Cultivate Ed. keeps the money in schools and districts while providing outstanding educational support for substitutes.
