Hard work + being purposeful are crucial for success at work… ...but leave room for serendipity too. ✨ I was thrilled to release a Spanish version of the Corporate Rehab book last night - while in Spain! Here’s the serendipity: ✨ I am traveling in Spain for my son's basketball tournament this week (what?!) ✨ I had the book translated last year for a client, but hadn't published it  ✨ I asked friends if anyone knew of local connections in Spain to do a talk ✨ They introduced me to an amazing organization WITH who already had a space reserved at Iberia Airlines of Spain for a talk on leadership - on the ONE night I was in Madrid - they just needed a speaker. 🎤 So…"Rehab Empresarial" launched today, in Spain, to an audience of female Spanish CEOs and leaders, while we talked about thriving at work. Thank you to Marisol Menendez and Maria Gonzalez Picatoste and the amazing work you do at WITH! I shared some of the same messages: ✅ Work appropriately hard. ✅ Be purposeful and intentional... ✅ ...And leave room for serendipity & soul alignment along the way. Believe that what's meant for, you won't miss you. I hope you will grab a book (paperback or Kindle) and share it with Spanish speakers in your life: https://a.co/d/cw4WoqZ Tell me: when was the last time you experienced serendipity at work? It's like a wink from the universe ;) #corporaterehab #leadership #innovation #keynotespeaker #womeninbusiness

At Crescent, we deeply care about the well-being of our associates, knowing that supporting them in combating burnout and maintaining a healthy work-life balance is essential. Recently, we addressed this crucial topic in one of our Courageous Conversations panel discussions: "Understanding Burnout and Relighting the Spark in Your Work." Esteemed panelists, including Crescent associates Joy Johnson and Kiersty Kastner - Burr, along with guest speaker Jennie Blumenthal, CEO of Corporate Rehab, shared valuable insights on how to prevent burnout in the workplace. As Jennie highlighted, "Stress and burnout are on the rise. 82% of employees expect to feel burnout in 2024, and 52% feel stressed most of the day. Hustle culture is being glamorized, which is the underlying reason for a lot of the stress we see across the workplace. We’ve got to send our car into the repair shop and make sure that we have a chance to fine-tune what we do. If we don’t do that, just like machines, we push our bodies beyond their limits, and that’s what we’re seeing with the high surge of mental and physical health impacts, where diabetes and stress-related diseases are at an all-time high." Jennie further explained, "Burnout is characterized by exhaustion, cynicism, and inefficacy. Often, burnout is a mismatch between what we’re doing and the time and hours we spend, but sometimes it’s just that we’ve been doing the same thing for too long, and we need a jolt of something new that helps us feel like we’re growing a little bit." We deeply appreciate the insightful speakers who shared their wisdom, and we’ve gleaned invaluable tips to foster holistic well-being across all facets of our lives. At Crescent, we are committed to providing resources like Courageous Conversations to help our associates succeed and thrive, recognizing that burnout is a serious concern. #CrescentHotels #HealthAndWellness #WorkLifeBalance #CourageousConversations

At HBCU Prep School, we’re on a mission to bring empowering and authentic stories of the Black experience into homes and classrooms everywhere!

If this isn't Black History I don't know what is. Check out a young Coco Gauff in view behind Venus Williams. A then 8-year-old Coco Gauff watching Venus Williams at the 2012 U.S. Open. 🥲 The inspiring moment took place seven years before @cocogauff, now 20, would play against @venuswilliams at Wimbledon in 2019. Gauff thanked the X user who spotted the cameo, replying “wow wow wow. how did anyone find this omg 🥹” Gauff posted more about the day on her Instagram Story, writing “That is me watching Venus at the US Open. [I] didn’t even know the TV caught me in the stands. 🎥 @theskimm * * * * * * * * * * #hbcuprepschool #tennis #sports #teen #goals
