Corning recently honored retirees who started their careers at the company 50 and 75 years ago. A lot has changed since then, but one thing that hasn’t changed is our pride in our employees.

Two years ago, a passionate and dedicated group Corning employees came together to form Corning’s Sustainability Network (CSN). Each year they dedicate a week to engaging in sustainability-themed activities, and last week they hosted their second Sustainability Week with 43 events across 25 locations. These events encompassed a range of activities, including a class on composting, a clothing drive collecting professional clothing for students at local universities, and much more. We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with the NIBRT National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT), one of the world’s premier centers for biopharmaceutical-manufacturing research and training, to help accelerate cell therapy development. NIBRT will host one of Corning’s cutting-edge Ascent® Fixed Bed Bioreactor (FBR) Systems at its Advanced Therapies building in Dublin, Ireland. Corning’s distribution warehouse in Reynosa, Mexico, hosted a "Bring Your Child to Work" day, where 25 young visitors had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of manufacturing. On a guided tour of the plant the children learned about the intricacies of the logistics process, observed skilled employees in action, and gained insights into the diverse materials and technologies used in manufacturing.
