Our comprehensive Chicago Roadmap partnership with Chicago Public Schools is bringing new faces to City Colleges this summer. For the fourth year, our Summer Start program is helping recent CPS graduates transition into college, learn about the resources available to them, and get to know their advisors and classmates. Working together, we're setting Chicago students up for successful college and career pathways. https://lnkd.in/gh8W4itK

As many of our recent graduates get ready to transfer, 25 new City Colleges alumni have received $5,000 scholarships from CME Group to do just that. Mayor Brandon Johnson, Alderman Walter Burnett, Jr., City Colleges, and CME Group recently celebrated the hardworking Star Scholars who have received the CME Group Star Partnership Mayoral Scholarship. These students received their associate degrees at no cost from City Colleges due to their strong GPAs in high school and now plan to transfer to one of our four-year Star Scholar partners to obtain their bachelor’s degrees. https://lnkd.in/gABnsk7w

Far too many college students deal with the stress of managing life and the costs of education on a very tight budget, impacting their housing situations. So we are very proud to celebrate the outstanding work of partner Depaul USA to support housing-insecure college students at their 7th Annual Chicago Dax Gala. Since the beginning of our partnership, 25 City Colleges students have benefited and for that we are grateful. Aarti Dhupelia Veronica Herrero Maria Esther Lopez, MBA Kasia Sanchez Anne Althoff
