Today, the Arkansas Racing Commission issued the Pope County casino gaming license to Cherokee Nation Entertainment. We would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the great people of Pope County who have been steadfast in their support of our project and welcome the economic growth opportunity with open arms. STATEMENT FROM Chuck Garrett, CEO, CHEROKEE NATION ENTERTAINMENT: "It is an honor to have been issued the Pope County casino gaming license by the Arkansas Racing Commission. Holding the state's fourth and final license is a responsibility we take very seriously, and we are excited for Legends Resort & Casino Arkansas to become a reality. For more than five years, we have been laying the groundwork for this economic development project and embracing local community input. With the license in hand, we are prepared to finalize the remaining permitting and administrative processes so we can commence construction."

How it started ➡️ How it's going On Nov. 9, 1990, Cherokee Nation’s Bingo Outpost opened in Roland with a total of 62 hospitality employees. Wilma Mankiller, the first female Chief of the Cherokee Nation, was there at the opening to commemorate the occasion. The Bingo Outpost was the very first gaming establishment we opened and has since transformed into Cherokee Casino and Hotel Roland, a resort with over 900 games, a hotel, dining options & a venue for live entertainment!
