The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting—the largest #oncology conference in the world with more than 40,000 attendees—was held May 30 – June 3, 2024. Dr. Stephanie Graff and Dr. Don Dizon both shared results of clinical trials conducted at the Lifespan Cancer Institute. Dr. Graff discussed research related to a variety of new, state-of-the-art therapies for the treatment of breast cancer, including the phase 3 DESTINY-Breast06 clinical trials, which found that a targeted therapy drug slows cancer growth more than #chemotherapy in people with HR+, HER2-low or HER2-ultralow #metastatic breast cancer. Dr. Dizon shared very exciting results of his study of a new #immunotherapy option for extending survival outcomes for people with ovarian or gynecologic clear cell #carcinoma.
