I am looking forward to volunteering this summer at the 28th Annual Molson Coors Charlie Kapp Charity Golf Challenge Monday June 10th, 2024 at North Shore Country Club for Broadscope Disability Services, Inc presented by ChemTreat. This Charity Golf Challenge was founded in 1995 by Charlie Kapp, a 30-year sales executive for Miller Brewing Company, whose daughter, Dana, had cerebral palsy and passed away in 1988. Charlie served on the organization’s board (then UCP-SEW and UCP National), until he passed away unexpectedly in 1996. In 1997, this event was named in his honor. Charlie and Dana continue to be honored with our annual golf outing. Broadscope is beyond grateful for the continued contributions of Molson Coors and the Kapp family and their friends which help us keep this event, in Charlie and Dana’s honor, alive. Proceeds from this event support the Independent Living, Employment Services and Respite Care Coordination programs provided by Broadscope Disability Services.

On Wednesday we held a board and staff social at Enlightened Brewing Company. With the ability to hold meetings online these days, many board members had not been able to get to know each other and staff members in person. Board members were able to learn more about the day to day of what Broadscope staff does. Likewise, Broadscope staff were able to learn more about the board members. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future!
Thank you again for everyone who came out Taste of Milwaukee to support Broadscope! We had such a wonderful night seeing old friends and meeting new friends. Congratulations to Saffron – Modern Indian Dining for winning the coveted Best Dish Award. We enjoyed beautiful music from Donna Woodall Group throughout the evening. In 2024, Five O'Clock Steakhouse is continuing to support Milwaukee-area nonprofits working to help their neighbors and the community. Each month we aim to be a good neighbor by donating a portion of our proceeds to nonprofits that are working to help their fellow Milwaukeeans. In February, we’re working with Broadscope Disability Services, Inc which provides programs, services and resources for people and families living with disabilities, and MKE Centers For Independence which for 85 years has strengthened communities by fostering hope and helping people advance their total health.
