Talent Experts: handpicking clients & candidates since 1973

About us

Championing human potential is our guiding mission, and we take it very seriously. How do we match people with opportunities that make their lives – and the lives of the people around them – better? It’s part art and part science. → First, our team is made up of intuitive, experienced recruiters and sales people. Their art is understanding fit: how a candidate’s skills, ambitions and professional potential would work within a team’s culture, needs, and trajectory. → Second, we focus on core skill sets in markets that we’re deeply connected to. That way, we’re doing what we love with people we know. We know IT, engineering, finance & accounting, and operations. And we live and breathe metro-Detroit, Dallas-Fort Worth, and south Florida. → Third, we rely on our time-tested process, the most thorough in the industry. We conduct a three-stage qualification process for every single potential candidate and client. We call it the BRIGHTView Process, and that’s the science that helps channel our team’s talent into measurable results. So here’s the big picture. At Brightwing, we recruit with purpose. We focus on the human element – on relationships – because there’s no other way to get at the kind of results that matter: human potential realized.

Asking “What is your company culture like?” in an interview isn’t always going to garner the results you’re looking for. Listen in for thoughtful ways you can ask that question and get what you're looking for.

With the rise of AI tools, there’s one question that can be heard above the many others: “What does this mean for my job?” Whether we like it or not, Generative AI is here to stay. But it won’t be taking your job anytime soon. If used correctly, ChatGPT and other similar tools can be leveraged to enhance your work and your career. Our President, Jeff Genovich, published a few articles diving into this topic. Check them out (plus some others!) using this link: https://lnkd.in/gBEvnPrw

We’ll never shoehorn you into whatever job we have available. We’re not in the business of forcing a good fit. As your career advisor, we want to get to know you – where you’re at and where you’d like to be. From there, we find you the perfect opportunity that aligns with your wants, needs, and goals. https://lnkd.in/gccF57r6

Throughout the 50 years we’ve been in business, we learned how valuable a good hire can be. We also understand how detrimental a bad hire can be. That’s why we leverage our relationships with our candidates and clients to understand exactly what both parties are looking for. With this understanding we’re able to fill critical vacancies, reduce bad hires, and position new team members for long-term productivity. Looking to hire? Let us help: https://lnkd.in/gNNFgs2C

When your recruiter asks you how your interview went, it’s not just some post-interview courtesy follow-up.    They genuinely want to know.    Feedback is integral to the recruiting process. The more feedback, the better your recruiter is equipped to help and advocate for you.

Contract work is not everyone’s cup of tea. It takes a unique set of traits to succeed in this unique kind of role. From my experience, the best contractors all have the following traits: → Self-confidence The best contractors believe in themselves and their skills. Even if they have a contract expiring in nine months, they aren’t concerned. Because they believe in themselves enough to know something will come up. → Independence For most contractors, you couldn’t pay them enough to stay under one roof. They need to work independently. Because of this, they’ll find a way to make it work. → High competence Most contractors don’t know if they have a job in six months. Which means they have an incentive to be the best at what they do. And as a result, they make more money than their salaried peers. → Risk tolerance Contracting is high on risk and light on guarantees. While the best contractors can mitigate that risk (for example, working with a staffing agency to source more work), it’s always there. They get real comfortable with it. → Indispensability Most employers are scared of their top contractors winning the lotto. Because these contractors know how to make themselves indispensable to the organization. → Diverse experiences Contractors like to engage in a variety of work. This enables them to bring a diverse range of experiences to the table, think creatively, and spur innovation within organizations. What have I missed? Any other traits that set top contractors apart from the crowd?
