Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the 2nd annual Black Health Connect conference. Last year, I experienced a life-changing car accident that left me unemployed, depressed, devastated and confused to my next steps. Fast forward to the beginning of this year, I asked God to guide my life and align my desires with His will. God continues to provide for me and remain faithful. I never imagined I would be in rooms with remarkable individuals, contributing to meaningful change. The aim of attending this conference was to create meaningful connections and leave a lasting impression through shared knowledge, collaboration on initiatives, and the promotion of health equity in the Black community. The event was incredibly inspiring, educational, and transformative. It serves as a testament to God's plan, placing me in unexpected yet enriching environments. I am grateful to The Distant Relatives Project for selecting me to represent the organization alongside other healthcare organizations worldwide.
