We train students for careers in radio, television, production and new media. And we're all about doing it in a "hands-on" way. The mission of our Media Schools is to provide hands-on broadcasting training in fully-equipped radio and TV studios. The instructional staff consists of broadcast professionals with many years of broadcast experience and includes local on-air radio and TV personalities. Upon graduation, students are well-prepared for entry-level positions in the broadcast industry.

Graduating from Ohio Media School Columbus Campus in 2011, Stephon honed his skills to become an exceptional video producer. Stephon attributes his growth as a filmmaker to the collaborative projects he worked on with classmates, enhancing his respect for other creatives and sharpening his directing and editing abilities. His dedication to organization learned in school has made him more efficient in all aspects of his work. Currently, Stephon is working on a new film with a former classmate and has reconnected with many students and graduates for potential collaborations. With a goal to be one of the best filmmakers in the industry, Stephon is also a talented writer and director, taking on each project with passion and determination. His advice to aspiring filmmakers is simple - identify your strengths and passions, work tirelessly to excel in them despite any doubts or obstacles you may face. Since establishing Lavish Film Factory post-graduation, Stephon has worked on various projects ranging from music videos to short films. #FilmProduction 🎥 #RealTimeLearning We would like to thank Javon Bates, Director and Producer at Javon Bates The Legacy Films, and his production team, as well as the talented actors from his film "Common Creed: Traffiking," for visiting Ohio Media School Cleveland Campus. Our students had a fantastic opportunity to interview the main characters and work alongside the film crew. This hands-on experience not only inspires but also provides valuable networking opportunities with this local production company. Collaborating with industry professionals enriches our students' education and boosts the impact of the film. Through behind-the-scenes access, our students experience the filmmaking process, gaining invaluable insight and practical skills. Filming in both the Green Screen and TV studios, our students had an engaging experience and the chance to participate in the shoot. The film is complete and in final edits. Save the date for the book signing event scheduled at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on October 10th from 5-9pm. With a passion for music and media, she has worked as an audio engineer, board op, and producer at various studios and radio stations. Currently serving as a Broadcast IT Engineer at iHeartMedia, Lucretia ensures your favorite radio stations stay on air flawlessly. Lucretia's dedication to learning and growth has been fueled by her experiences at Colorado Media School, and she credits the school in playing a major role in helping her achieve her objectives, which included COLORADO BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION CBA Engineering Academy. Entering the broadcast industry, Lucretia continued to excel with roles at internet- based and broadcast radio companies, leading her to her current role as a Broadcast IT Engineer for iHeartMedia after graduating from the NAB Leadership Foundation T.A.P. Program. She emphasizes the importance of both goals and dreams to aspiring students: never lose sight of your goals and seek mentorship to pave your way to success. Driven by her childhood inspiration from the TV show WKRP in Cincinnati, Lucretia pursued a career in audio engineering before expanding into broadcast engineering. Her journey led her to developmental roles in the industry, culminating in her current position at iHeartMedia. Looking ahead, Lucretia aspires to become a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) overseeing groundbreaking projects in radio and TV technology. Special thanks to Encore Recruiter Tiffany Johnson, Director of Event Technology Brad Penman, and Sales Manager Clark Wicks, for crafting an exceptional experience to expand our group's knowledge of audio-visual technologies in the hospitality industry. This showcase included live demonstrations led by Encore's talented team, that included our own alumni Aisha Garrett, Andrew DeCord, and Ohio Media School Instructor who is also an Event Director, Eric McDonald Jr. The day included workshops, a site tour, Q&A session, and even a fun Trivia competition! #48HourFilmProject 🎥 🌟#DreamToScreen Congratulations to the 48 Hour Film Project - Cleveland filmmakers! A special shoutout goes to our Ohio Media School students, who, under the guidance of their film instructor Chris B. Davey, delved into a weekend filled with creativity and a touch of chaos as they raced against time to complete their film project "Old Beginnings" in just 48 hours! Choosing Drama and Road Movie from Genre groups 1 and 2, our students were assigned a tomato prop to insert into their storyline. One talented student composed an original score while the team navigated through preproduction all the way to the final edit. Now all set for the premier screenings, this journey has truly been an incredible experience for our aspiring filmmakers. Working tirelessly against the clock provided an exhilarating challenge.
