This is exactly what I do now that I'm retired. I travel all around doing parenting workshops. Todays parent have no idea what use to work for centuries, in western culture but that all change in the 1960's. The elites decided this new unproven progressive, humanistic, psychological model would produce a better more productive human being. Sixty years later, the evidence is quite clear that it has done the exact opposite. This new parenting paradigm has produce the most self center , narcissistic, emotionally bankrupt generation in our culture's history. Parenting has become the most difficult, stressful, anxiety ridden project in the marriage. These problem were so foreign to generations prior to the 1960's. Many parents today, women in particular, believe this is just the new normal. What I teach is the model used prior to 60's which was biblically based and even if you didn't believe in God you still raised your children that way because the evidence was clear it produced a polite, respectful, resourceful, resilient, productive citizen of America. The WWII generation was a good example of what the biblical model produced.
