The ABAC Board thanks WANF (Atlanta News First) for their partnership as 2024’s American Heart Association media sponsor for the “Go Red for Women” Atlanta campaign featuring Monica Kauffman, Shon Gables, MBA, and this year’s class of “Real Women”; Atlanta mothers, daughters, sisters and beyond who have been affected by or survived a cardiac event. Together, ABAC and WANF champion these fiercely fabulous ladies who strive to be a relentless force in the quest for a world of well-being and longer healthier lives for all women! Connecting the Atlanta media community.
About us
The Atlanta Broadcast and Advertising Club sets out to provide superior networking opportunities in all facets of the media business in Atlanta, provide educational opportunities that offer our members insight from industry experts and give back to the local community through fundraising efforts. ABAC was established in the late sixties/early seventies by a local group of broadcast professionals. The founding members sought to provide a professional forum devoted specifically to broadcast concerns, as the Atlanta Ad Club was largely focused on print media in those days. Originally Atlanta Broadcast Executives Club (ABEC), our organization was re-named Atlanta Broadcast Advertising Club in the seventies.

This month’s Board Member Spotlight goes to Chris Gibbs. He has been on our board for 4 years and serves as our amazing Spring Fling Chair, one of our most well-attended events. He moved to LA for a bit but came back home to Atlanta a few years ago. You’ll catch him making the rounds at all our events! He loves traveling, cooking, and music. Favorite quote: “I have a lot of growing up to do. I realized that the other day inside my fort.” Chris’ best piece of professional advice that he has received: Listen intently; talk less; try to understand things from their perspective; don’t waste their time.

Not only has she hit the ground running taking over our social channels but she’s always there to lend a helping hand at our volunteer events while still being the life of every ABAC party. This lady’s heart is truly as big as her smile! Happy Birthday Natalie! (Disclaimer: Natalie did not write this post.)
