Loyalty is a team sport. Last week we had the privilege of concluding this AMA season with this rockstar panel of customer connection trendsetters. We heard a ton of actionable advice we can take back and adapt to our brands, including: ✅ The key to driving a successful loyalty program is to dig into what makes the ways your customer interacts with your brand uniquely yours. ✅ Just because you have a loyalty program doesn't mean you have loyal customers. The average person belongs to 20 loyalty programs. You have to drive value, consistently and meaningfully. ✅ Some of the most impactful touch points in a loyalty program are not necessarily positive ones - like expiring points. These negative experiences shouldn't dominate, but when leveraged correctly, can be incredibly effective. ✅ Take measured risks. Go outside of your comfort zone. If you stick to the expected, you'll become a commodity. ✅ Data and metrics are table stakes, and the answer proving your loyalty programs are driving business value may not be found in traditional KPI's.
