Founded in 2017 by Carolyn Witte and Felicity Yost, Tia is bringing the new standard of care for women for women in NY, LA, SF and PHX. Blending in-person and virtual care services, Tia’s “Whole Woman, Whole Life” care model fuses gynecology, primary care, mental health and evidence-based wellness services to treat women comprehensively. By bringing collaborative, comprehensive, and compassionate care, Tia is raising the bar for women and empowering them to achieve optimal health, on their terms.
I joined Tia for much the same reason that I joined CareMore: I saw a population that was underserved by our health system, and an organization that would give me the opportunity to help build a better way.
I also dreamt of being able to put pen to page and write something more universal and less project/implementation-driven about how I think care could and should be better with the work we are doing.
With the support of wonderful managers/mentors Jessica Horwitz, MSN FNP-CRyann Vernetson, MA, LPC, our wonderful marketing team Adam FelsKennedy Meek, Katie Christian and so many others, my dreams are becoming reality. Here's the first of hopefully more posts on our approach at Tia and how we provide a differentiated approach to metabolic health and weight management: https://lnkd.in/gmSJAg-D
This #PTSDAwarenessDay, we're acknowledging the ways sexual violence can cause profound psychological, emotional, and physical effects on survivors. These effects can be deeply traumatic, but with the right help and support, they can be managed. At Tia, we stand with survivors of sexual violence and are committed to creating safe and supportive environments for everyone who seeks our care. ❤️
Read more about how we provide trauma-informed care and support for survivors in our interview with Tia's Chief Clinical Officer, Jessica Horwitz, MSN FNP-C.

At Tia, we're working to build, deliver and relentlessly refine a new standard of care for women. It's a mission and vision that is bigger than any one person — as we often say internally, a calling.
In that spirit of service to our shared mission to transform healthcare for women, we are excited to share that Tia's Co-Founders Carolyn Witte and Felicity Yost are evolving their roles to maximize their individual and collective impact to Tia in this next phase of growth.
Read more about this transition, and Carolyn's decision to move into the Chairwoman of the Board role and appoint Felicity as Interim CEO to lead this next chapter alongside our Chief Clinical Officer Jessica Horwitz, MSN FNP-C and Chief Operating Officer Stacey Irving below.
Co-founder & Chairwoman of Tia.
Entrepreneur, brand builder & women's health champion.
Today marks an exciting next chapter for Tia. After eight years of serving as Tia’s founding CEO, I have made an important decision to take on a new role as Chairwoman of the Board.
In this new role, I will focus my time on driving strategy related to the future of Tia at the Board of Directors level and shift away from leading the company day-to-day. Together, with Tia’s Board of Directors, we’ve appointed Felicity Yost — my co-founder and Tia’s current President — as interim CEO. By further empowering Felicity to lead in close partnership with Tia’s Chief Clinical Officer, Jessica Horwitz, MSN FNP-C, and Chief Operating Officer, Stacey Irving, we will maximize our collective impact against Tia’s near and long-term mission and business goals. Congratulations Felicity, and thank you for your relentless dedication to Tia.
In the spirit of transparency, below is the communication I shared with the Tia team earlier today that provides additional context on my decision, this transition and why I believe this will set Tia up to transform healthcare for women — today and for the long-run.
Many stressors women face are deeply intertwined with societal and systemic issues—from workplace pressures to cultural expectations and beyond. While they’re not always within our control, there are ways to manage the impact they have on our bodies and minds.
Check out our latest post on Instagram to unpack how stress affects more than your mental health and how mind-body centered care can connect the dots between your stress and physical symptoms. 🔄

The Female Founder Collective events have become some of my favorite to attend for a few reasons:
1. I now always run into people I know!
2. The caliber of the speakers and people in the room
3. The intimate nature of the events
Last night Female Founder Collective hosted Carolyn Witte, the Co-Founder and CEO of Tia. Carolyn transparently shared her journey, from the early days to these later stages of building and scaling Tia, and what she has gleaned along the way. We also got a tour of Tia’s beautiful Culver City location, getting a first hand look at how they are investing in women, breaking down barriers, and improving the overall #healthcare experience.
Some thoughts and takeaways from the conversation:
- Dig into the #problemspace. Do even more research than you think you need to on your #market or #industry. Be undeniably in the know about the statistics and data in your space!
- When looking for a #cofounder, knowing if they are the right fit ultimately comes down to 2 key principles: 1. Do they share the same mission and vision, but retain a complimentary skill set to yours? 2. Do you have trust in the relationship?
- Remember that engaging a co-founder is essentially your business marriage, and has to be treated with a similar level of care, attention, and investment to a romantic partnership.
- Just because a consumer may want something doesn’t always mean that they are willing to pay for it. True #productmarketfit is when customers want what you are offering AND will pay for what you’re selling.
- The role of a founder is to drive #commercial relationships. It is critical that the CEO is the one selling (in B2B), building relationships, and nurturing their network. Of course, you’ll be able to hand some of that responsibility as you scale, but those ‘big’ relationships have to be maintained by you, the founder/CEO.
- When #raisingmoney in the early days, you are selling a story and you are selling yourself. You are selling the dream! People will be buying into you.
When it comes to later stages of funding, it becomes much less about you and your vision, and all about the numbers. At that point, investors are making #ROI, economic, and politically driven decisions.
- Vision alone doesn’t drive #growthcapital in a later stage business.
- Remember that scaling will come down to letting go (Carolyn recommends lots of therapy and #coaching for us controlling perfectionists out there😉). Figure out your super powers, how they should be applied to the most important things in the business, and then offload everything else to the #experts around you.
- Be #strategic, considered, and diligent. These are the qualities that help you be the kind of founder that can #raise $150MM, like Carolyn has done for Tia.
Many thanks to Alison Koplar Wyatt, Carli Roth, Kimber Romero, and team for always creating such value!!

WELL — It's safe to say that we kicked off 2024 with a MAJOR bang! 🎉 Here are some of the stand-out highlights this month in Tia-land!
1️⃣ We were honored to host the most incredible round-table panel discussion "Body Talk" at HEIMAT. Picture this: a room filled with amazing providers from Tia, Octave, and the vibrant HEIMAT community. The vibes were real, the conversations were much-needed, and friendships were ignited! 💬💖 We shared our stories, discussed our experiences in medical settings, and soaked up expert-led guidance on advocating for ourselves to get the care we truly deserve.
2️⃣ We hosted an awesome event along with WundaBar Pilates! This event gave us a chance to dance, laugh, move our bodies, meet our raffle winners and connect with our NEW valley community—which leads us to our next big announcement:
3️⃣ We opened a NEW clinic in Studio City!! We are beyond thrilled to announce the opening of our 5th location in Los Angeles and our 9th clinic nationally! Our welcome party this weekend was an absolute hit, and folks got to take home floral bouquets, goodie-filled totes, beignets, and acupressure ear seeds! Cheers to the incredible team at Tia who worked so hard to make this dream a reality. The doors are open, and we can't wait to welcome even more amazing patients through them! 🌟
Huge shoutout to every single person at Tia who contributed to making January unforgettable. Your passion, dedication, and energy are the heartbeat of our Tia community. Let's carry this momentum forward and make the rest of 2024 just as exciting! ✨

In commemoration of #RoeVWadeDay, we wanted to pause and take a look at the data — to see just how much the overturning of Roe two years ago has impacted #abortion access and women’s health more broadly.
The data proves what we have believed all along: when abortion is outlawed it doesn’t go away — it just limits access to women’s choices and by extension, safe and quality healthcare that women need and deserve.
Take a look:
