Catalyzing socio-economic change in India through the education of underprivileged children

About us

Access to education is a basic human right that too many children in India are deprived of. Asha for Education is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization that has been working since 1991 to change this. Asha's volunteers work to find, develop and fund education projects in the hopes of empowering India's youth. Since its inception, Asha has raised over $4 million to help finance more than 350 projects across 24 Indian states.

Though my role is changing, I am not going far. I will continue to be part of the Board of Directors, now serving as Secretary. In this capacity, I will be focusing on strengthening the health and communication of our chapters, which are the heart and soul of Asha. My goal is to enhance inter-chapter communication and ensure seamless interaction with the central team, which is vital to our mission. Additionally, I will handle various administrative tasks to ensure Asha's compliance with government regulations, maintain current state registrations, and address our insurance needs for all events etc. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to Asha for Education. Together, we will keep making a difference! 🌟
