Did you hear the great news? The Solar for Schools Bill in Pennsylvania is funded! See below for an update from one of our incredible State Chapters, the Philadelphia Solar Energy Association (PSEA): "After more than a year of effort, the Solar for Schools bill passed into law and was funded! The PA state budget includes $25 million for grants to help install solar systems on public schools, charters, community colleges and a few technical schools. This is the first time that the legislature has recognized the power of solar energy to save money for our schools, and to help improve STEM education for Pennsylvania’s students. HB1032 authorizes the Solar for Schools grant program to be administered by the Department of Community Development. Grants are expected to be available in 2025...PSEA’s Solar Schools Toolkit anticipated this possibility and our proformas are built to include funding from these grants."
