A look back on the impactful experience we had at the 2024 Arts Media and Entertainment Institute last week! From the kickoff event with Vivica A. Late post but I did want to mention how frigging cool it was showing K-12 teachers the how and why behind #virtualproduction as part of the Arts Media and Entertainment Institute conference at Green Powered Studios. If there was any further indication needed that these filmmaking techniques are here to stay its this! When I started with CG Pro we were mainly training #vfx artists and #production professionals, and now my classes are filled with college professors and hopefully soon high school teachers! Tomorrows artists deserve to learn the tools of today and I'm honored to be a part of that. Named for Jack Mitchell and Kristine McClung, founders of the first AME Institute nearly a decade ago, this annual award celebrates exceptional vision, leadership, and contributions to the field of Arts, Media, and Entertainment (AME) education. The Mitchell McClung AME Leadership Award distinguishes itself by honoring two individuals annually: one outstanding AME educator and an exemplary AME industry partner whose efforts have significantly elevated AME education and industry collaboration This year we are so excited to award Gayle Nicholls-Ali and Matthew Carlson.
