Today we organized trail maintenance work in Settlers Cabin Park with volunteers from Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania. All the volunteers worked hard to improve the conditions along the Waterfall Trail, ensuring that the trail is clear and accessible for all park explorers. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all the volunteers from Columbia Gas for their hard work and to the Allegheny County Parks Rangers for leading the project. We are so grateful for the improvements made to the Waterfall Trail and for the volunteers helping to make a positive impact in Settlers Cabin Park!

With nine county parks and over 12,000 acres, the Allegheny County Parks system is one of the largest in the country. Joey-Linn Ulrich, Executive Director of the Allegheny County Parks Foundation talked with us about the parks and all they have to offer.

Work crews have been busy on Round Hill Park's Allée Restoration. Over the past few weeks, all the diseased trees have been removed, and new trees have now been planted. We would like to thank our partner in this work, Allegheny County, and the project funder, FedEx, for ensuring this iconic area of Round Hill Park will live on.
