Did you know that Food for Hope supports our local school district, Adams 12 Five Star Schools, almost every month with Afghanistan Refugee Boxes? These culturally appropriate food boxes have food items that are carefully selected and packed with love right here in our offices! This past school year, we packed 500 boxes for Afghanistan Families that have recently moved to the U.S. and are just getting settled. These boxes are of great significance for them because grocery stores in a new country can often be intimidating, difficult to navigate, and may lack culturally appropriate foods. Having access to these Afghanistan Refugee Boxes makes it easier for these families to have access to culturally relevant foods, and get their basic needs met. We hope these boxes assist our newcomers as they become more familiar with our community resources!

At Westview Elementary in Adams 12 Five Star Schools, students were learning about the Pigeon's favorite subject: THE PIGEON! Of course, the Pigeon had a lot to contribute to the lesson...maybe a little too much.

Today, the 2024 retirees were honored for their service to Adams 12 Five Star Schools at the Retirement Recognition Breakfast. In total, this group of retirees had a collective 2,042 years of service! Thank you so much to everyone for their commitment to elevating our students! #FiveStarProud #ELEVATESuccess

The Adams 12 Five Star Schools Business Services Administrative team volunteered with one of our community partners, A Precious Child , to invest in their mission by donating 64 hours of time valued at $2,035.20. Staff collaborated to sort, hang, size, and re-stock 1,798 pounds of donations and craft 10 blankets directly impacting 87 children and caregivers! #ELEVATESuccess #FiveStarProud
