🌟 Reflecting on #NRCEC2024 🌟 Last week at NRCEC, I had a great time learning more about the ongoing research in early childhood. Unsurprisingly, a major topic discussed throughout the conference was the early childhood workforce and issues related to compensation, mental health and well-being, recruitment and retention. In the opening plenary, Sara Mead from the District of Columbia’s Office of the State Superintendent of Education, underscored the urgent need for a revenue strategy to support equitable compensation. Her insights highlighted the importance of financing to support workforce stability and quality early childhood education. #EarlyChildhoodEducation #WorkforceDevelopment #NRCEC2024
