Some of the emerging trends and technologies in computer repair AI and ML are being used to develop new tools and techniques for computer repair. For example, AI can be used to automate the diagnosis of hardware and software problems, and ML can be used to predict the likelihood of a component failing. Remote support technologies allow technicians to troubleshoot and repair computers remotely, without having to visit the customer's site. This can save time and money for both the customer and the technician. Self-repairing devices: Self-repairing devices are devices that can automatically detect and repair problems. This is still in its early stages of development, but it has the potential to revolutionize the computer repair industry.

My favorite tool for this is Bomgar. It has helped several organizations I have been part of get to the other side of issues quickly and through an assortment of methods. When I was onsite, I would use other tools to get around user errors. Working remotely even when onsite will reduce anxiety in your callers, especially if they don't hear your voice but only text. Working remotely reduces an organization's overhead and the employee's as well. If metrics prove on a case by case basis that certain team members need to be on site, I can support that but many excel remotely, like I can.

Take advantage of the high-speed internet when available. Most all issues can be fixed if remote access is available, and permissions are obtained.

Remote IT Support its a great way to help the world because with your assistance (or the hearing active skill) could you fix a lot of stressing issues without exit of your home. The IT crew its a kind of Red Cross squad.
Another trend that is reshaping computer repair is cloud computing. Cloud computing refers to the delivery of computing services, such as storage, software, databases, and networking, over the internet. Cloud computing can offer many benefits, such as scalability, flexibility, cost-efficiency, and security, for both businesses and individuals. However, it also poses some challenges and risks, such as data privacy, compatibility, and reliability. As a computer repair professional, you need to be familiar with the different types of cloud services, such as SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, and how to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot them.

Using Windows Autopilot makes imaging endpoints so much easier than older solutions. Once you make the switch, you realize how much time you have for other projects. Intune is also a great MDM solution once your imaging is complete. It’s a modern solution to enforce policies and governance on endpoints. Automation is key with cloud computing. So much time is wasted if we don’t utilize automation in every solution.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is another technology that is transforming computer repair. AI refers to the ability of machines or software to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, and decision making. AI can help computer repair professionals in various ways, such as automating repetitive or routine tasks, diagnosing and solving complex problems, providing personalized and proactive support, and enhancing customer satisfaction. However, AI also requires you to keep up with the latest developments, tools, and ethical issues, as well as to collaborate with other professionals and users.
The internet of things (IoT) is a term that describes the network of physical devices, such as sensors, cameras, appliances, and wearables, that are connected to the internet and can communicate with each other and with humans. IoT can offer many opportunities and benefits, such as improving efficiency, convenience, safety, and health, for both personal and professional use. However, it also creates some challenges and threats, such as security, compatibility, and maintenance. As a computer repair professional, you need to be able to install, configure, and repair various IoT devices, as well as to understand their functionality, interoperability, and security.
Virtual reality (VR) is a technology that creates an immersive and interactive simulation of a real or imagined environment, using devices such as headsets, controllers, and gloves. VR can be used for various purposes, such as entertainment, education, training, and therapy. VR can also offer some advantages for computer repair professionals, such as allowing you to visualize and manipulate computer components, systems, and networks in a realistic and engaging way. However, VR also requires you to have advanced technical skills, such as programming, graphics, and audio, as well as to be aware of the potential health and safety issues.
Green computing is a trend that aims to reduce the environmental impact of computing activities, such as energy consumption, waste generation, and carbon emissions. Green computing can also help you save money, improve performance, and comply with regulations. Green computing involves various practices and strategies, such as using renewable energy sources, recycling or reusing computer parts, optimizing computer settings, and choosing eco-friendly products and services. As a computer repair professional, you need to be knowledgeable about the environmental aspects of computer repair and how to implement green computing solutions.
