October 4 - A logo inspired by aboriginal art forms will contribute to an "unforgettable experience" at the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games claim the organisers.
February 16 - Olympic gold medallist Matthew Mitcham (pictured), who is expected to be Tom Daley's biggest rival at London 2012, will travel to the Gay Games in Cologne later this year to support Australia's team, he has announced.
February 11 - Ian Troop (pictured), a long-time food and consumer-goods executive with extensive experience in sports, has been chosen as the $350,000 (£212,000) per year chief executive of the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, it was announced today.
December 28 - Former hotel executive Roger Garland was today unveiled as the chairman of Toronto's 2015 Pan American Games along with the other members of the Board, including Sylvie Bernier (pictured), a former Olympic diving champion.
November 6 - Toronto was chosen to host the 2015 Pan-American Games, beating Lima and Bogota at the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO) Assembly in Guadalajara today.
November 5- The 2011 Pan American Games, one of the biggest events on the sporting calendar, could be moved from Guadalajara unless the Mexican city can find a $50 million (£30 million) guarantee within two weeks, they have been warned.
