Japan's Tomohiro Ueyama triumphed in a dramatic shoot-off to clinch the men's open recurve title on the final day of the World Archery Para Championships in Dubai.
Ueyama notched an impressive 6-2 victory over the United States' reigning Paralympic champion Kevin Mather en route to the final at the Dubai Club for People of Determination, where he clinched a 9-8 win in the shoot-off against Guillaume Toucoullet.
There had been nothing to separate Ueyama and the Frenchman over five sets.
South Korea's Park Jun-beom took the bronze medal with a 6-0 thrashing of Italy's Giuseppe Verzini.
Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Vincenza Petrilli came out on top in the women's open recurve.
She beat Pooja Jatyan 7-3 in the final, with her opponent becoming the first archer from India to earn an individual silver medal at the World Championships.
Two-time Paralympic medallist Milena Olszewska of Poland finished third after overcoming Britain's Hazel Chaisty 6-4.
