Construction on the project is to commence next year
The €50,000 per pylon on offer from EirGrid “won’t turn heads and a multiple of 10 of it probably wouldn’t”, said Meath dairy farmer Diarmuid Lally.
Mr Lally told the Farming Independent the only option is “go underground or go home”.
