i entered my Adrienne Young era this fall and it was the best decision and brought all the vibes 🍂🧡

i enjoyed SPELLS FOR FORGETTING a bit more than THE UNMAKING OF JUNE FARROW, but still highly recommend both. i liked the love story and mystery more in SPELLS FOR FORGETTING, but liked how there was more magical realism and time travel in THE UNMAKING OF JUNE FARROW. her writing is 🤌🏼🙌🏼👏🏼 so creative and fun!

here’s what to expect from these books…

🔮 multiple genres—you get magical realism, mystery, romance, drama and hist fiction
📖 such strong storytelling. i mean, this girl can WRITE! you totally fall into this story and i adored the characters and was so impressed by the level of detail and creativity in both
🍂 the best fall vibes and settings. absolutely top tier and so atmospheric and whimsical
✨ magical realism but on the lighter side. THE UNMAKING OF JUNE FARROW had much more magical realism and actually gave me OONA OUT OF ORDER and THE INVISIBLE HOUR vibes
🎧 fantastic on audio. SPELLS FOR FORGETTING has a full cast and if you know, you know these are sooo rare and *chefs kiss*
👀 lots of mystery. each story is centered around an unknown event and the secrets and journey to the resolutions are very enjoyable
🧡 ROMANCE!!! and… second chance romance 🥹🫶🏼 aka my fave trope

so much more but these are the highlights! she has become an auto-buy author for me and i’ve read both in the last month and already can’t wait for a new one 🥰

my only tip for these is that there is ALOT going on. lots of twists, details, characters, secrets, etc. so you almost need to take notes or really pay attention to not miss key elements!
