I can't believe this is the end to the series.
There was a part with Olive were I was really engaged, after that all went meh. Nothing has changed in this world at all, there are just potentials, but nothing actually bettered, which is very disappointing and anticlimactic.

There is a huge political issue that was open and unresolved in the Vampire Academy series that still continues unresolved here. The races are still in the same place they were when it all started. We still have the dhampirs as brainwashed slaves. Furthermore, we have at the very end, one of our main dampers characters sharing a room with a baby instead of having his own space like full deserving being. Very disappointing. We could have had a great plot with a revolution in Lisa's and Rose's hands but we got nothing.

Something similar happens with the Alchemist and the warriors, no real change, no real progress, basically everything remains exactly the same. Which makes you wonder what is the point of all the books then.

The treatment of Spirit has also been stalled, barely nothing new there, only potential that never advances. Here we have again a couple of great plot lines that could have made for an original book such as the cure for Strigoi and the cure for the dhampirs fertility. But nothing again, they are barely mention and just left as potential for the future. Also, after 12 books, I still don't understand why the way the writer portraits Spirit is so limited, so underdeveloped. It still remains as something better subdue by medication instead of as something explored, studied and progressed. Very shocking and again, very disappointing.

Finally, it bothered me that there is a background judgment in varios topics that annoy me to no end.

At this point, I am hoping for another spin off that finally addresses all the unfulfilled and unresolved potentials that we have in these series' world.

Although, I did love the Vampire Academy series, I woudn't recommend this.
