I really tried to like this book, but the language was infantile and I just had to quit it because it would have ruined my day if I continued. DNF after one chapter.

Oh dear! Doesn't bode well for the latest ARC I grabbed just by looking at the author's name. Wish me luck! 😅
I liked how to walk away so it might be good!
I don’t think you can say it is infantile after reading just one chapter. Many people loved the book. Just saying.
I didn’t say that about the book, but the writing style.
And that, writing style, at the very least doesn't get any better. I've finished it and it was a one-star read for me.
Great review Nina. Shame you could not get on with the style of writing. It happens.
