The story is also really fast paced and I liked how the story is told through multiple different povs and also articles and interviews etc.
I just feel like it dragged on for too long. Which sounds a bit crazy because this book isn’t even that long in the first place. Also the ending left me quite unsatisfied. I felt like I had barely got to know the boys, J.B., Ramón and Trey, and then the book just ended.
I also usually prefer reading books physically but I think I would have liked this a bit more as an audiobook - with full cast.
Sad to find out that anticipated five star read turned out to be only a three star read! ...more

Me and my friendI just spent ten and half hours at the library today finishing my final essay about public libraries and how they profit the society. Me and my friend read this one while taking breaks and found it the most hilarious thing we have ever read — probably due to how tired we were.
I personally felt like the characters lacked depth and bit and some plot twists were so predictable that it was bit dull to read at times.
Regardless, this was the most satisfying entertainment while studying. And also the complete opposite to public libraries and how they profit the society — something which I do not want to think about in a while again. ...more

That one came so far from the left field that I did not see it coming. Can’t say they didn’t deserve it tho…
This was good. I think? Like I was super excited to read this book. I like reading about rich people and I like YA mysteries. And it was kinda just disappointing? I don’t know.
The club was weird. I didn’t want to be part of it. And I didn’t care much for any of the characters either so it made the book feel rather dull. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I did guess the plot twists correctly and nothing really caught my attention.

I did enjoy this. A bit. KMM writes a fun ya mystery but in my opinion this is definitely not her best work for multiple reasons: - the characters weren't that interesting or likeable to me, the only reason I did not DNF this was because of Mateo. He was the only one I kinda cared about and I wanted to know how his family ended up - I was like 15% into the book when I was like,,, I know who the culprit is. I know what's going around if you know what I mean. - drug related things are extremely boring to read about in my opinion - the relationship stuff was... weird - like overall weird - but my reason for the 1 star rating; I can stand a lot of things in fiction but the one thing that just makes me feel absolutely sick is student-teacher relationships. - yes there is student teacher relationship in this - and I don't think it's handled well at all in the aftermath of it - also said teacher becomes said student's step-mother at the end - so like... uhhhh - the students making youtube videos about the case could have been interesting but I think it felt bit unconnected to the overall story - Ivy and her brother did not feel realistic to me as sibling; I don't know if KMM has siblings but it sounded to me like she doesn't because their bickering felt very forced ??? idk does anyone know what I mean I don't knowhow to explain things to save my life - *shudders* the student teacher relationship, lord how do I get that out of my head - also I was super excited of the idea old friends reconnecting and then turns out they all did something horrible (on purpose or not) to each other and they will never be close again and I was like huh, okay anyways - Ivy's parents drove me insane and they weren't even physically present
Is that all? I don't know and honestly I don't want to think about this book and the *shudders again* the student teacher relationship anymore
