Et au coin Kung Fu du Kowloon Park certains, certaines donnent toute leur énergie pour nous faire une belle démonstration..

.A Sunday in Hong Kong...
In the "Kung Fu corner" of the Kowloon Park, some old and young give their whole energy to deliver a great performance :-)
On a walk through the forests of Witzhelden I met 3 young guys with their dirt bikes resting on a bench. After a small talk I ask them for a demonstration of dirt biking.
Here is the result.

Racing action in the Masters 40+/50+ C1-4 classification, of the Fitchburg Longsjo Classic.
Captured with the Nikkor 200mm F2 lens. This lens is super sharp at f2 and creates spectacular subject/background separation.
Another view of participants on Willis Point Rd., in the 2018 Tour de Victoria cycling event. This time, just before we left, I captured the riders coming towards me while laying down on the side of the road with my long lens. I had no idea compressing the distance like that would end up being so effective.
The gradient of the descent is 9.2%, and the cyclists would hit speeds of 62 km/hr or greater. Though the rider in the foreground was in the 100 km event, riders in the 140 km and 160 km events were also on this route. Contestants came from all over the world with the farthest travelling participant arriving from Australia.

Another shot from the Australian Criterium Championships held at the Noosa Multisport Festival. An exciting race and I was in a good spot for watching the tight turns and occasional crashes.
As some of you may have guessed I have been away in France including following 5 stages of this years Tour de France. The first 3 were near La Rochelle on the Atlantic coast and then Stages 8 and 9 in NE France. Probably the most dramatic stage I viewed was this one, Stage 9 from Arras to Roubaix taking in 15 sectors of cobbled road. With the weather being hot and dry all over Europe for many weeks the drama was heightened by clouds of dust stirred up by the racers and supporting vehicles. The location was near the village of Ennevelin 39 kilometres from the finish. The difficulty of the surface resulted in the cyclists being well spread out providing many photographic opportunities. The location was carefully chosen on a corner giving the chance for a head on view without obstruction from other spectators. The cobbled roads were included on Google Street view helping with planning. The Photographers Ephemeris was used to check the sun direction at the time the tour was due to come through the location
The shot is taken from the bend, taken handheld with a Sony A68 with a Sigma 28-200mm zoom at 150mm. The 2 riders were the first to arrive forming a breakaway at the time from the main groups following on.
Editing was first in RAW using Capture One. Then on a duplicate layer I used Topaz Adjust for just a vignette. Then Topaz Clarity used with a layer mask to bring more detail onto just the riders
