This "old man" -- only in his 50s, but which is considered old in Afghanistan because of all the wars and harsh living conditions -- was an accountant. He was a very devote person. This man had never in his life had his photo taken, ever. So he took this photo very seriously, and when I was able to show him the photo on the LCD, he was very pleased.

This is Xolelwa who helped me get connected to a phone system last week. They really did give us both the runaround but eventually triumphantly she got it done. I was struck by her shiny eyes and so this is very in-her-face.
