New year, new adventures. May your journey be as exciting and fulfilling as you can handle, and then some.
The little bending path between the trees that's normally a thoroughfare for students on their way up to the University. This morning the low sun was glowing through the trees and lighting the autumn leaf litter.

with Lonscale Fell beyond. Kind of know that this picture is wrong, that is, not good landscape photography on many levels. Still quite fond of it though.
Looking down the path of green
Rays of light, they are seen
Guiding you along the way
Until you find a better day
Where sweet love, it does wait
Held in the hand of your fate
Past the rays of light, now seen
Beyond the path, under the green

The great thing about Flickr is the inspiration you get from others who share your passion. I have dabbled in ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) for a few years and I'm always trying to catch a different "surprise" with this technique. But I never tried to catch a path in my scene before until a Flickr Friend, Wayne Spencer, posted a great forest scene with a path using ICM. So on our hike last weekend, I tried this one. It's not as great as Wayne's but I do like the textures on the tree in the foreground and the way the middle tree is lit up by the sunlight a bit. I'll be out practicing a few more! Thanks Wayne.
Path in the sunny frosty morning , with fog too. I place some branches between the sun and the lens , it brakes the light a little. A great morning to walk the dogs!
We came across this little Stonechat down at St Aidans the other day. For those who know the site it is seen here perched on top of the chicken wire fencing above the new cattle pens and the junction of paths on the north side of the reserve. It was calling to others and eventually flew off to join them.

The Valley of Rocks, North Devon UK.
Starting at Minehead in Somerset it runs along the coastline of Exmoor, continuing along the coast of North Devon into Cornwall. After running along the Cornish coast and the south coast of Devon it then follows the Dorset coastline before finally ending at Poole Harbour.
The incredible walks along the South West Coast Path near Lynton & Lynmouth include Countisbury Hill and Foreland Point with stunning views over Lynmouth Bay. From here you can walk east towards Porlock and explore the longest section of wooded coastline in England.
Going west takes you to Woody Bay and the Heddon Valley from where you can see the Exmoor cliffs cascading into the sea. The sections between the Heddon Valley and Combe Martin are as challenging as they are beautiful and encompass the Hangman cliffs – the highest in England!
