I have just learned today (I took the photo yesterday) that our New Zealand variety is being re-classified because it's slightly different to the similar variety in the Northern Hemisphere. We have 3 varieties of Birds Nest Fungi in New Zealand.

I decided to post my usual Happy New Year composition with both Benji and Trino. Trino's spirit lives within me and in our home. I see his shadow everywhere. He will always be with us so I felt it was right to include him.

It is just an old building, right? Wrong.
This is my understanding of what I’m looking at. This single-screen cinema theatre (theater) was established in 1914. One year later, the popularity of the silent three-hour movie Birth of Our Nation, originally called The Clansman, would create an explosion of this type of new-fangled movie theater across the country. Before that wave of single-cinema theaters, there were 5¢ Nickelodeons, another American business invention, that showed much shorter films in a more austere environment.
Broadway

When I walked on Broadway I saw this young woman passing by wearing huge spectacles. Although I always want to see the eyes, this time I went for something different.
What I love about New Yorkers is that they are proud to show themselves. So when I asked her if she was willing to pose with the glasses on, she agreed immediately.
