Stanlow Oil Refinery on the edge of the Manchester Ship Canal at night.

Stanlow Oil Refinery covers an area of almost 5miles(squared). in other words its massive!!

I took this with the Sigma AF 70-300mm f4-5.6. i'm not sure if i like the star like light flare off the lights with this lens. its ok around f4 but anything above f6 creates the flare when taking night shots that include lights. its pretty sharp though, and for under £130 i cant really complain.

After a long hard day sightseeing we sat down to eat in a restaurant en route to our hotel and this sight greeted me out of the window. I'm not too keen pulling out a DSLR to take snaps in a restaurant but for this view I made an exception :-)
