My small cameras collection

Horse evades surveillance cameras in London

A Voigtländer superb from 1934. My colleagues got this camera when her dad passed away. Not knowing if it still worked, I was given the camera to give it a try. Everything seemed to be in order. So after a good cleaning I popped in a roll of kodak portra 400. Only 10 shots left until I know how things worked out...

Camera: Nikon FG-20

Lens: MC Helios-81H 2/50

Scanning Film: Canon Canoscan 9000f Mark II

I spent so much time in my room just staring at it.

I love what you find in vintage stores.

Not like you can actually see it, but it's a video camera.

I'm starting to collect these. I have a couple more charms, one on my purse and one on my wallet. It's kinda my thing.

I bought this unusable vintage camera a few years ago at a local indoor craft / secondhand market.

ANSH 110 (20) useless

the background is a plate of ceramic,

was trying to add multiple matches in a different order, but it turned out ugly as hell, LOL.

so this is after removing another 45 matches :P

i can expect certain gifts from my husband: tools, outdoor gear, and old cameras that he finds at the flea market. and really, what more do i need?

I got up at 4:30 this morning and drove miles to one of those rectangular states to try to sell some photos. All in all, a very mediocre day. Hardly worth the drive. Part of the problem was that someone bought a couple of my shots that were more "conversation pieces" that drew in the buyers.

Anyway, on the way home, I decided that a shot of a Hummingbird looking into the lens of the camera might be a good draw. I figured the best way to do it was to tape a little mirror onto the front of the camera and it would come to see his own reflection. Great plan. I stopped on the way home at a Dollar Store to get a cheap mirror (does anyone need the quality make-up that came with it? It's is sort of brownish-bluish-green.)

I got home, set up the camera, taped the mirror to the front, and, well, nothing. Crud! Light was leaving fast. What to do? What to do? I put the lens cover back on the lens and taped a couple of yellow flower petals to it. Then, I covered up the opening on the feeder. I figured that the bird MIGHT come to the yellow on the lens cap. The problem was that I could probably only fool him once, so I was going to have to make the shot count. As most of the hummer shots are blurred or some other problem, I was counting on slim odds.

I got exactly THREE shots off when he fell for my diabolical plan (the other two totally sucked).

So, now you know how I did it (notice that the lens cap is on the camera). Please feel free to add glowing notes of praise below.

broken camera, it pulls the film across too far so half my film doesn't get exposed :( such a waste. i don't really love any of these photos either. the ones i like, didn't get exposed onto the film :'(

The Brownie Starflex Camera was manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company from 1957 to 1964. It was constructed of plastic with a fixed focus lens and an aperture adjustment for taking color or black & white film, which adjusted the exposure values of 13 and 14. It was capable of taking twelve exposures on no. 127 film 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch in size, or could be used to capture 2 x 2 inch slides. Features included a handy wire-frame viewfinder for quick viewing at eye level, and a synchronized built-in flash taking M-2 flash bulbs.

A close friend recently gave me his parent's Starflex in the original box; $11.86 price tag still on the box. The picture you see here is from that box...brightened up with the help of a Topaz filter.

Last night, I was digging for some old pictures and came across a set of photos taken last year in one of the botanical gardens in Charleston, SC (can't remember the name). This is the same butterfly that gave me my very first explored photo (Wings Wide Open), except this time she's a little camera shy :)

Thanks for your visit, comments, and faves!

Have a great day my friends! :)

Please meet my new HDR machine gun, the Nikon D300, here with the Sigma 10-20mm. It fired over 250 shots (in burst of 7 auto-bracketed exposures) during 30 minutes! OK, I only used a total of 16 exposures for this Vertorama.

It's an incredible camera, there will be some learning curve before I can really enjoy its amazing features.

On the annoying part, my D300 was apparently born with a hardware defect: sometimes the data link between the body and the lens is lost, therefore the autofocus stops to work. It will be replaced this Monday.

Taken at Changi Beach, Singapore. A typical Saturday morning shooting with my buddy Rajesh.

Is the reticence caused by the rip off reputation of these tourist traps ?

For the RogueOlympics on www.RogeuBricks.de I built a camera with only 101 parts, which you can find on my stream.

I liked this first 101 parts MOC so much, that I decided to build it again - but then without part limit.

The camera itself is only build with LEGO parts and, the Nintendo set tiles fitting perfectly for the screen on the backside. Also the objektive is brick build in this one.

These photos were edited using camera plus, again, opinions and advice welcome!

Strange: pinhole camera with aperture 248 - and it looks like a "normal" photo.. :-)

They're so small and compact and fit perfectly into my small hands! This all fits into my little bag too. Of course, to take this photo, I used Tom's D3100 which I don't think I could ever get used to. Have a great rest of the weekend!

I've started a set for portraits of cameras, both mine and those belonging to others. It's a small set thus far, but it will grow...

Ha! Just kidding. Just another little stop motion I made for my 365! Enjoy!

Just for the heck of it ~

---------------------------------

Posted this photo 4 years ago and I just updated it,

so it seems to have popped up in the new posts.

---------------------------------

I have kept all the comments prior to the updated photo here.

---------------------------------

#10 was purchased this year (2022)... I think I'll keep it 👍

---------------------------------

Note 2024: Have taken a tons of shots with the SONY in the past two years and just this past week had to replace the rechargeable battery. Still think it's a great little camera. Not recommended if you have big hands, it's small.
