Things took a frosty turn during the latest instlament of BBC Breakfast after David Sillito was issued a stern warning by a famous Gavin and Stacey star.

Talking to Joanna from a wildlife hospital in Surrey, the star explained that she is currently training to become a wildlife care assistant. Although her new venture is for a forthcoming wildlife series, Joanna has taken on the challenge in her stride and has been looking after animals such as birds and hedgehogs for ten weeks.

Guiding David through the hospital, the 47-year-old shared details of the work she's been doing. But as expected, David also touched upon her role in Gavin and Stacey and what viewers can expect from the special one-off episode which is due to air later on this year.

But at the end of their wholesome chat, Joanna was forced to give David a warning when he insinuated that he hadn't decided to take any of the furry creatures with him as he departed. David said: "Jo, this has been a joyous, joyous time and I promise you I haven't got a hedgehog in here."

Joanna replied: "Well I think I have to search you before you leave! Thank you very much for helping me with the animals, but you will be searched before you leave because I wouldn't be surprised if you smuggled a hedgehog out."

BBC Breakfast viewers were thrilled to see Joanna back on their TV screens.

Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, one viewer said: "Never mind actress and Mother of 4, what a breath of fresh air, so happy and uplifting. She's brightened what's promising to be a [poo emoji] day. Thank you for that."

During his time with Joanna, David tried his best to gain more insight into the upcoming Gavin and Stacey episode and was hoping Joanna would dish the details on what fans can expect.

But unfortunately, Joanna dashed David's hopes to the side as she remained tight-lipped.

However she did confirm that she would be in the episode. Disappointed that she wasn't giving any of the storyline away, David said: "That's not much of a story is it," as Jonna shrugged and laughed it off.
