Before hitting our screens, Meghan Markle's Netflix cooking show is already facing a barrage of criticism despite only having just recently finished filming.

Hot off the heels of launching 'American Riviera Orchard' Meghan Markle broke the news that she was crafting a series aimed at "celebrating the joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining and friendship".

However, Sky News Australia presenter, Rita Panahi, is not looking forward to its launch. She said: "Meghan Markle has just wrapped up filming on a new cooking and home show for Netflix, a show which has yet to receive a formal title or air date, as part of the Sussexes $100m deal and was filmed at a property near their Montecito mansion in Los Angeles."

She scathingly added: "It's apparently going to focus on the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship and I've gotta say, it sounds bloody awful."

A source recently spilled the beans to The Daily Beast about Meghan's show, saying: "It [filming] all went well and it is in the can."

The Duchess of Sussex has also faced criticism after the soft launch of her new business venture all the way back in March by launching an Instagram page and website. However, no update has been given as to when the official launch will take place or when any products will be sold - keeping fans waiting.

Over the course of the past few months, Meghan has teased us with the debut of three products expected to be sold under her new brand - strawberry jam, raspberry jam and dog biscuits.

Meanwhile, rumours have been circulating online over another product set to hit the shelves when the brand officially launches - rose wine. However, its release has not been confirmed yet.

Podcast host, Kinsey Schofield, also exclusively told Express.co.uk Netflix could partner with Meghan's brand. She explained: "According to previous reports, Netflix is also considering partnering with Meghan in the capacity of distributor for American Rivera Orchard so they can stake some claim on any hype her show could potentially build for her new lifestyle brand."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed an exclusive £80million contract with Netflix after stepping down from the Royal Family. However, the couple only signed a five-year deal, which means it's due to expire next year.

Prince Harry is also set to star in his own separate Netflix series and polo will be the subject of the new Netflix series which will see the duke and duchess also acting as executive producers.

The show will be made by the couple's Archewell Productions company and will give "unprecedented access to the world of professional polo" and the US Open Polo Championship in Florida, Netflix said.

Speaking to Hello! Magazine, Prince Harry's best friend, Nacho Figueras, shared just how much playing polo means to Prince Harry: "We've been working on this for a long time. It was always Harry's dream and passion to share with the world, what it takes to be a really competitive polo player and show polo at the highest level."

He added: "I cannot think of many people that can be better than him to be the kickoff of this storytelling."
