I was a bit annoyed that coffee was only available at 7am or later. Front desk said, “There’s a Starbucks down the street.” Sometimes I don’t want to be presentable enough to go outside haha!

The hotel was great and super close to the BART if you are traveling from the airport. The staff at the Marker are fabulous and so very friendly. The neighbourhood is a bit scary but I didn't feel unsafe.

The hotel itself is ok. Good ac, not noisy and sleep quality was excellent. Front desk was very professional and helpful. Housekeeping was sloppy on most of the days we were there until we talked to the staff about it, then they rectified the situation. Be aware that this is at the edge of the tenderloin district and it feels more like tenderloin than union square.

We didn’t even get to check in. As we pulled up to the hotel, we were verbally assaulted by a homeless man and didn’t feel safe to get out of the car. I tried to talk to the manager and cancel our reservation as we felt it was unsafe and the manager was unwilling to speak with us.
