Agave nectar makes a great fast sub when you don’t have simple syrup on hand.

    Makes 1 cocktail

Ingredients

¾ ounce Campari
¾ ounce tequila blanco
¾ ounce fresh lime juice
½ ounce agave nectar
8 ounces chilled American IPA
Lime wheel (for serving)

Preparation

  1. Combine Campari, tequila, lime juice, and agave nectar in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Cover and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds. Strain into a pint glass and top with beer. Garnish with lime wheel.

  • I've been making this for a couple of years now, and one of my favorite things about it is how you can tweak it with different styles of IPAs. You can go super bitter with a West Coast IPA, or milder with a NE IPA. A real delightful afternoon sip!
