From groping a date at Beetlejuice to her family's multiple run-ins with cops: How will Lauren Boebert's scandals impact one of the biggest days of her career?

In a new district and despite being swamped in controversy, Rep. Lauren Boebert is still poised to sail to victory in a crowded primary on Tuesday.

The fiery Colorado Republican switched from the 3rd to the 4th congressional district to run in former Rep. Ken Buck's more reliably Republican seat in the upcoming election

Still, she will face off against state Reps. Mike Lynch and Richard Holtorf, conservative activist and talk radio host Deborah Flora, Logan County Commissioner and former state Senate President Pro Tempore Jerry Sonnenberg and banking executive Peter Yu.

Recent polls show she has a comfortable lead against her rivals, but a large number of voters are still undecided and could make the race a far closer contest.

The Colorado residents who haven't made their choice - and may pay more attention to the controversies surrounding her - could be crucial to her survival in Congress.

Here's a look back at some of Boebert's biggest scandals she heads into her vital primary:

Groping a date and vaping at Beetlejuice

In September of 2023, Boebert was thrown out of a Beetlejuice performance in Denver after audience members complained that she was vaping near a pregnant woman, talking and singing too loudly, taking flash photographs and groping her date, Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher

DailyMail.com later revealed that she had been dating Gallagher for months and that he came from a Democrat background.

Just weeks later, DailyMail.com reported that Boebert had used campaign funds to watch a cycle race that her partner from that night, Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher was competing in.

Legal issues with ex-husband

Boebert's ex-husband Jayson had originally claimed that Lauren punched him during an altercation when they met up to try to get on better terms in January when he was arrested for a domestic violence incident. He later recanted that claim.

In a separate incident, Jayson Boebert was accused of assaulting their 18-year-old son and taking out a gun as the son moved to call the authorities in a fight over laundry.

Boebert, 43, accepted a deal from the 9th Judicial District Attorney's Office on Wednesday that saw him plead guilty to one count of reckless endangerment.

The Boeberts got married in 2005 and split in 2023, but have continued to make headlines with their rocky separation and legal woes.

Rep. Boebert - who became a grandmother at 36 - had asked for a restraining order to be be placed on Jayson in February after the altercations in order to protect her children.

She told a judge in March she wanted the order extended, saying she knows her four children miss their father, but said 'I am afraid his anger for me will be taken out on [their sons].'

But she later wanted it dropped after they came to a 'strict agreement'.

Son faces legal troubles over shoplifting

Boebert's son 18-year-old son Tyler, became a father in April 2023 and made her a 37-year-old grandmother. He is also awaiting trial after he was arrested on a string of shoplifting charges in late February.

The teen is facing four counts of criminal possession of a financial device, three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and three counts of theft of under $300.

He is also facing four felony counts of criminal possession of ID documents of multiple victims, one felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony and over 15 additional misdemeanor and petty offenses.

Each of Tyler's parents had messages of support for him to DailyMail.com in response to the arrest.

Jason told DailyMail.com: 'I know my son is a good-hearted child and still has his whole life ahead of him.'

Rep. Boebert, in a statement to DailyMail.com, said that her son should face consequences but she ultimately loves and supports him.

'I love my son Tyler, who has been through some very difficult, public challenges for a young man and the subject of attention that he didn't ask for,' she said.

She was forced to apologize after insinuating Ilhan Omar is a terrorist

In November 2021, Boebert told a crowd of supporters:

'One of my staffers, on his first day with me, got into an elevator in the Capitol. And in that elevator, we were joined by Ilhan Omar,' Boebert told the crowd in September. 'It was just us three in there and I looked over and I said, well, lookey there, it's the Jihad Squad.

'She doesn't have a backpack, she wasn't dropping it and running so we're good,' Boebert added.

Boebert later posted her apology on X: 'I apologize to anyone in the Muslim community I offended with my comment about Rep. Omar. There are plenty of policy differences to focus on without this unnecessary distraction.'
