What your donation can fund
If 320 people give £10 each, we could fund one week of the STAMPEDE trial, which is looking at new combinations of treatments for advanced prostate cancer.
If 95 people donate £20 each, we could fund a PhD student for one month, equipping them with the skills they'll need to make the research breakthroughs of the future.
If 100 people donate £50 each, we could fund one month of an exciting clinical trial that, if successful, could pave the way for significant improvements in survival for people with bile duct cancer.

In 2012, Jennifer, a mother of one developed a pain in her side. An x-ray showed what was thought to be an abscess on her lung, which was diagnosed as cancer the following year.
Thankfully, we’ve been at the heart of progress for lung cancer for over 50 years. Jennifer's treatment included Cisplatin, a chemotherapy drug our scientists helped to develop. She has now been cancer free for over eight years.

Professor Robert Rintoul and Nitzan Rosenfeld, two of our scientists based at our Cambridge Centre, are using cutting-edge technologies to detect the presence of tumour DNA in the blood, known as liquid biopsy, a groundbreaking advance in detecting lung cancer earlier.
Professor Nitzan Rosenfeld explains "We aim to identify the crucial clues in the blood that are a sign of lung cancer so that we can catch cancer months or even years before it would normally be detected."
