Our supporters

Together with our partner TK Maxx, we're very proud of our Star Awards. Some VIP supporters from the worlds of sport, TV and music have teamed up to support the Cancer Research UK for Children & Young People Star Awards and sign the certificates which are sent to all the youngsters who receive an award.

TK Maxx generously sponsors our Star Awards scheme, which recognises the strength of children and young people across the UK who have been diagnosed with cancer.

TK Maxx has been supporting Cancer Research UK since 2004 and is the biggest corporate supporter of research into children’s and young people’s cancers for the charity.

Since the partnership began, TK Maxx customers and associates have raised over £44m through customer donations, associate fundraising and sales of charity merchandise. Of that total, over £40m has supported pioneering research into new treatments with fewer side effects for children and young people with cancer.

Tom Bourton from Cancer Research UK said ‘We’re thrilled that TK Maxx is continuing to partner with us on the Cancer Research UK for Children & Young People Star Awards. TK Maxx generously donates a £50 voucher to every Star nominated, as well as sponsoring our Star Awards awareness activity too. The award raises the spirits of children and their siblings during what can be a very difficult time for the whole family. We’re extremely grateful to TK Maxx for their ongoing generosity and support to help more children and young people survive cancer with a good quality of life.
