The role of the Growth Marketing Manager:

The Customer Marketing team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Growth Marketing Manager to lead strategic marketing efforts and planning, including campaign creation, prioritization, execution, and result measurement of the delivery of the programs we have sold. The Growth Marketing Manager will manage marketing campaigns and metrics across multiple programs and functions with the KPIs of driving awareness, B2C leads, and utilization of Upwards programs. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful rollout and adoption of our various childcare programs amongst both our corporate and government initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, with specific experience in campaign planning and management, growth marketing, roadmapping, project management, and metrics-driven strategic implementation.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Marketing management: Implement the strategies and tactics developed, manage execution team syncs, KPI reporting, communicate plans to stakeholders. Can take macro strategy down to micro tactics clearly.
  • Leadership: While not having direct reports, this role acts as a leader for the greater marketing team in establishing the marketing roadmap for specific program launches and rollouts. It works with functional experts across marketing, product, program teams, and business development to bring these plans to life.
  • Funnel Analytics (Problems + Solutions): Understand how programs are performing at key funnel stages to best identify opportunities and obstacles to achieving performance and success targets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with a wide variety of functions to ensure we’re moving efficiently and effectively on a marketing plan.
  • Campaign management: Own and manage campaigns from end-to-end, including: ideation, brief creation, kickoffs with stakeholders, assigning task ownership, project management, project completion, launch communications, testing, result reporting, and iterating.
  • Multi-channel marketing: Own and oversee initiatives across multiple channels in marketing including but not limited to: content, email/SMS messaging, digital advertising, grassroots marketing, direct mail, SEO, and webinars.
  • Campaign Analysis: Analyze campaign performance to formulate quarterly marketing programs.

You'll excel at this role if you have:

  • 3-5 years of experience managing marketing campaigns and KPI reporting.
  • Strong understanding of building inbound lead generation funnels from scratch.
  • Must be a self-starter who excels managing varying priorities to keep team members and projects moving forward, and leadership abreast of what’s happening.
  • Have a confident, positive attitude that can inspire team members around them for collaboration and coalition building.
  • Familiarity using tools such as Google Sheets, Looker, Shortcut/Asana, and CRM tools.
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and willingness to tackle new challenges.
  • Scrappy, creative, problem-solving mindset!
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet quick turnaround times and strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the care economy, customer engagement/lifecycle, and employee benefits.
  • Previous startup experience, bonus if it has been in tech.
