Think of this refreshing, tangy spritzer as a shrub shortcut. Put your muddler to work incorporating sweet berries, earthy mint, and floral honey to balance the mouthwateringly tart kombucha. Feel free to use your favorite kombucha flavor, and switch out the fruit and herbs to your preference—peach and basil would also be incredible here.

oz. fresh blackberries or other juicy, tender fruit

cup mint or basil leaves; plus more for serving (optional)

Tbsp. (or more) honey

½

tsp. Diamond Crystal or ¼ tsp. Morton kosher salt

32

oz. kombucha

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Place 4 oz. fresh blackberries or other juicy, tender fruit, ⅓ cup mint or basil leaves, 1 Tbsp. honey, and ½ tsp. Diamond Crystal or ¼ tsp. Morton kosher salt in a large pitcher and muddle until very well combined and blackberries are completely smashed and syrupy. Add 32 oz. kombucha and stir gently to combine. Taste spritzer and add more honey if desired.

    Step 2

    Strain spritzer into tall glasses filled with ice and garnish each with a sprig of mint or basil if desired.

  • I think it is damn near impossible to get though your ads and your innumerable sign in requests to even look at the recipe. Looks like a wasted $30 to me !
